This guide walks you through how to connect your Retell voice agents to Bluejay’s observability software. Once connected, every Retell call streams into Bluejay so you can monitor live conversations, evaluate transcripts against your custom metrics, and trigger alerts in real time. You connect an agent to Retell from its Connection Settings tab.

Prerequisites

  • A Retell API Key
  • Your Retell Agent ID
  • A Bluejay account

1. Configure Organization Settings

Open the Bluejay integrations area where your Retell API key will be stored.
  1. Log into your Bluejay Dashboard.
  2. Click on Settings in the bottom left corner.
  3. Select the Integrations option.

2. Adding Your Retell Key

Connect Bluejay to your Retell account so your agents sync over and call events start flowing in.
  1. Select the Retell tab in the Integrations panel.
  2. Paste your Retell API key into the API Key field. The key must include the blue Webhook tag in Retell.
  3. Click Save to store the key.
  4. Click Sync Agents from Retell to import your Retell agents into Bluejay.

3. Configuring Your Agent in Retell

Point your Retell agent at Bluejay so every call delivers events to your account.
  1. In Retell, open your Agent’s dashboard and click the Webhook Settings tab.
  2. Paste this webhook URL into the Agent Level Webhook URL field:

4. Configuring Your Agent in Bluejay

Link a Bluejay agent to the Retell agent it should mirror.
  1. In Bluejay, open your Agent’s Settings page.
  2. Open the Connection Settings tab.
  3. Choose the Retell tile under Voice connection type.
  4. Enter your Retell Agent ID in the Retell Agent ID field.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Quick Sync from the Plus Menu

For a faster path, you can sync your Retell agents directly from the quick add menu inside Bluejay.
  1. Click the + button in the top left corner.
  2. Select Retell.
  3. Paste your Retell API key.
  4. Click Save and Sync to import your Retell agents into Bluejay.
