# Sierra

> Test your Sierra voice agents.

Connect each Sierra voice agent with its tokens, then run simulated calls on it without a phone number.

## Connect

Sierra has no agent list that Bluejay can sync, so you connect each agent by hand.

**1. Save the headless API token**

In Sierra, open the **Voice Protocol** page and click **Create API token**. Copy the token right away, because Sierra shows it only once. In Bluejay, open **Settings → Integrations** and choose the **Sierra** tab. Paste the token there. Every Sierra agent in your organization uses this token.

**2. Connect the agent**

Create a voice agent with the **Sierra** connection type.

* **Sierra agent token**: the last part of the agent's Voice Protocol URL, .
* **Release**: a release target such as `staging` or `production`, or a release hash. Leave it empty to use the agent's default release.
* **Agent parameters**: a JSON object of string values, such as `{"customerId": "1234"}`. Sierra hands these to the agent as request parameters when each call opens. A number or a list is rejected when you save. The object holds at most 512 entries, and each key and value is limited to 16 KB.

## Test

[Run a simulation](/test/simulations/create.md) on the agent as you would for any voice agent. Each call opens a new Sierra conversation with the agent's release and parameters.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | Fix |
| - | - |
| **No Connection** with WEBSOCKET\_AUTH\_FAILED | Sierra rejected a token. Check the token on the **Sierra** tab of **Settings → Integrations** and the **Sierra agent token** on the agent. |
| **No Connection** with CUSTOMER\_CONCURRENCY\_LIMIT | Sierra returned `429`. Lower **Max concurrent conversations** on the simulation. |
| **No Connection** with BRIDGE\_PRE\_START\_FAILED | No headless API token is saved, the agent has no **Sierra agent token**, or Sierra did not open the conversation. For a missing token, the error message says which one. |
| **Call Dropped** with BRIDGE\_DISCONNECTED | The connection to Sierra was lost during the call. Run the call again. |
